Planets, Solar System and Life in the Universe/Solar System
This unit tends to get merged with a lot of topics. To explore the possibility of life in the universe, we need to look at areas in our own solar system that harbor water (liquid). We will tour the planets, satellites, dwarf planets and large asteroid of our solar system for the physical characteristics to harbor life as we know it.
We will also discuss how to terraform a planet and which planets in our solar system would be best suited.
As we as a human race venture out into space, we will be faced with many challenges to leaving our planet, traveling in space, procreating in space, and eventually colonizing a planet, satellite, asteroid, or dwarf planet. We will discuss these challenges and look at the latest research into this every changing topic. We will go from the beginning of our planet and solar system forming to its current evolution.
